'The Holy Comforter Choir Loves To Sing Together, Make Music Together,  Fellowship Together, And Most Importantly, Serve God Together As They Lead The Parish In The Corporate Worship Of God.'

“Small BUT MIGHTY” is an appropriate slogan for the remarkable members of the choir of The Church of the Holy Comforter. After a much too-long hiatus during the COVID pandemic times, we are back to our regular Wednesday evening rehearsals. We also have enjoyed being a part of the weekly Compline Livestreams for a few months.

The service music each Sunday—hymns, responses, choral selections, and organ voluntaries-- is guided by the Readings from the appointed Lectionary for that day and is chosen to guide our personal understanding and connection to those readings. Our task is to be an active leader and guide for
parish participation in corporate worship. We are NOT performers in this task; we are all joining in a joint experience of the mystical power of music and worship and their intertwining.

Every effort is made for the parish musical experience to be both engaging and inspirational each week. It is wonderful to be a part of a parish that values our musical heritage as it does, but is willing to be challenged with new sounds and ideas also.

'Consists entirely of dedicated volunteers, who always welcome newcomers and is made of and embraces a wide range of musical abilities'
