A WARM WELCOME FROM THE RECTOR

If this is your first time landing on our site, Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, welcome! If you are already a friend or member of our parish, thank you for stopping by for a visit.

It was the Prophet Isaiah who said: “I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19a).  The conviction that God is always doing something new sustains, encourages, and guides the people of Holy Comforter.  God’s promise allows us to hold our traditions and history lightly and gratefully. We hold our practices as parish lightly because when our worship, fellowship and service to our neighbors never change, our faith can become stale and empty. At the same time, we are are grateful for our Anglican heritage that embraces a wide and deep understanding of God and God’s people. Our heritage includes beautiful worship and music that ground us through all the different moments of life. We allow the Christian call to love and serve our neighbor to stretch us beyond what is comfortable and easy.

As a community that prays together, worships together, and celebrates life's big and small milestones, we have chosen trust and quiet confidence in Christ’s infinite love. We are filled with joy and hope for a future God invites us to help build. I hope you will come and see us. Let us open a place for you at the table.

Yours in Christ, Rosa+

SUNDAY WORSHIP

Our worship is grounded in the ancient practices of our global Anglican heritage as we have received them through the contemporary Episcopal theological tradition.  We share Communion as part of worship using simple wafers and wine. Whether you choose to partake in communion, or prefer to receive a blessing, please come to the altar to share in this sacred time: everyone has a place at God’s table. Our worship is a work of the whole church. Lay volunteers read scripture, lead prayers, sing hymns, serve as acolytes, and support our clergy in sharing the Gospel and celebrating the Eucharist.

We can't wait to meet you!
